TREE & STUMP REMOVAL

Climber Jacob Lankford in full gear and headed up to complete a pine tree removal.

What It Is

Individual tree removals are generally completed when a tree is dead, declining, or damaged and has become a safety risk to you or your property.  In most cases, a climber will carefully ascend and, using a system of rigging and friction devices, piece the tree apart and send it down to the ground crew.  If being removed, stumps can either be excavated or ground below grade.

Benefits

Selectively removing trees allows for minimal disruption to local wildlife and leaves room for remaining trees to expand their canopies and root zones.  Removing diseased or infested trees minimizes the risk of contaminating healthy vegetation.  Trees that are declining and weakening pose a threat to nearby structures, and having them removed provides peace of mind and lowers the chances of property damages during severe weather.  Having stumps removed reduces the risk of rotting wood creating sink holes, as well as the risk of damaging equipment during landscaping and maintenance.  Additionally, wood is a recyclable resource; the remaining logs can be milled for lumber or become firewood, mulch for landscaping and gardening, habitats for wildlife, and even compost.

Applications

Additional Space:

  • Freeing up space on your property doesn't always require land clearing.  By selecting a few trees, we can easily free up space for buildings, pools, gardens, landscaping, and more.

Hazard Mitigation:

  • Diseased and infested trees pose a risk to surrounding healthy vegetation.  Trees with weak or rotting limbs and other structurally compromising issues are a hazard to you and your property.  Removal of any compromised tree significantly reduces the risk of damaging you, your property, and other vegetation.  Being proactive with removals and making the call before the tree fails will help to save you money in the long run.

Aesthetics & Value:

  • Strategically removing trees can not only enhance the views of surrounding landscaping, but also the value of your property.  These removals can also prevent overcrowding, allowing the remaining trees to fill out and create beautiful, lush canopies.

A customer's home prior to having encroaching trees removed and pruned.

Before

Prior to removal, these trees were encroaching on our customer's house and posed a threat to their roof during severe weather.  The space was claustrophobic and minimized sunlight to the area.
